Best Buggy

After nearly 2 months of researching the Internet for the best jogging strollers, I had it narrowed down to the Baby Jogger Summit XC, the BOB Revolution SE, and the Mountain Buggy Terrain. While these three joggers share some features in common such as suspensions, 16" rear pneumatic tires that can be easily removed for a more compact fold, excellent maneuverability over all types of terrain like grass, mulch, sand, snow, etc., as well as an easy folding mechanism it was the features exclusive to the Mountain Buggy Terrain that made it the choice for me.
I really appreciate the adjustable handle. My husband and I can both push the stroller comfortably despite our large height difference because we can raise or lower the handle height as needed.
The seat can be fully reclined or upright and because the seat has a weight capacity of 77 lbs, the highest of the three, this stroller can be used from infancy to early childhood. My 5 year old son who is 47 lbs can ride in it if he wanted too. The Mountain Buggy Terrain also can be transformed into a rear-facing pram, to be used for the first 6 months, by attaching the carry cot (sold separately) to the frame.
The basket is easily accessible and large. It can carry up to 11 lbs of mom and baby gear and with the zip-top closure nothing will fall out during a bumpy ride. There are also mesh pockets on either side of the canopy where I store my phone and keys during walks.
The canopy is large with a flick-out sun visor and it is the only one that can be adjusted to follow the sun or be removed entirely.
Although the 12" front wheel on all three joggers can be locked, that on the Mountain Buggy Terrain is the only one which can be locked backward or forward for added precision. There is also a 5% give when in the locked position to allow you to turn corners without having to pick the stroller up off its back wheels.
I also like that the stroller comes standard with a detachable bumper bar and a water bottle holder on either side of the handle.
Overall, the Mountain Buggy Terrain is a sturdy, sleek and high-quality jogging stroller that will last for many years. And when you no longer need it, it can be resold at a fairly high price. Before I decided to to buy it new I checked out the used options on craigslist and was finding them for no less than $250.00.
The only negatives I find are the weight and limited colour options. At 29 lbs it is 4 lbs heavier than the other two joggers and it is only offered in grey.
